Located in the village of Guatincara, which is situated near Erandique in Lempira, the farm has an altitude of between 1,550 and 1,600 meters and has an average rainfall of 1,100mm, with a temperate climate of 71F, making it the perfect environment for cultivating quality coffee.
Bernardina Sanchez is the owner of Finca La Cuesta Del Yargual and is one of the eighty farmers participating in the LIFT Lempira cluster. After a year in the five-year program, impressive results have already been made. Though small at three hectares, Dona Bernardina has managed to produce an astounding 87 bags of 69kg Lempira, IHCAFE 90, and yellow Catuai varieties.

Process: Washed. Following a floatation process to separate imperfect coffees, it’s then pulped, fermented for 12 hours in tanks, before being dried in the sun on patios.
